Early Closures along the East West Line (EWL) between Joo Koon and Tuas Link will take place on Saturday, 21 November 2020 & Saturday, 28 November 2020 to facilitate 22kV circuit breaker trip coil replacement works along the Tuas West Extension (TWE). This is as announced by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) following the multi-line train disruption on 14 October 2020 which was caused by a power fault, where all 113 22kV circuit breakers trip coils along the TWE will be replaced as a pre-emptive measure against power cable faults and potential service disruptions.

As a result, train services on the East West Line between EW29 Joo Koon — EW33 Tuas Link and will be unavailable during the periods of closure.
Train services between the remaining sections of the EWL (Pasir Ris — Joo Koon & Tanah Merah — Changi Airport) will not be affected.

On selected Saturdays during Early Closure in November 2020, last trains will depart at around 11:00 pm along the affected stretch.
