The BYD C9 is a fully electric bus manufactured by Chinese company BYD, which specialises in electric vehicles and new energy solutions. The bus design incorporates large-capacity Lithium-Iron-Phosphate batteries which allow the bus to travel 250km on a single charge, under urban road conditions.
This bus model was touted as “the first 100% electric coach in Singapore” via a livery wrap on the first registered unit of the bus (PC6284C).

Deployments
PC6284C was deployed on several routes operated by HDT Singapore, including GEMS World Academy and the Downtown East Lunch Shuttle.
PC8313P is operated by ComfortDelGro Bus (CDG) and deployed on National University of Singapore (NUS) Internal Shuttle Bus services as part of an electric bus trial by the CDG-NUS Smart & Sustainable Mobility Living Lab from 19 July 2021.
