Service 675 offers residents of Hougang improved connectivity to the Central Business District, including Marina Bay Sands and Suntec City, providing a direct travel alternative to commuters who typically rely on the rail network and feeder buses. As a City Direct service, it only operates on weekdays.
Starting from Yio Chu Kang Rd (Blk 953) in the morning, the service calls at stops along Hougang Avenues 9/4/10/2/3 and Tampines Road, before plying express from Tampines Road to Anson Road via the KPE and MCE. The route is similar in the reverse direction, plying express from Shenton Way to Tampines Road.
Along Hougang Ave 4, one pair of bus stops (64419 – Blk 681 and 64411 – Blk 670) are shared with City Direct 660/660M.
This service was introduced under the Bus Connectivity Enhancement Programme (BCEP), a scheme launched in 2024 that facilitated the introduction of more bus services, including peak-hour City Direct services.
Travel Smart Journeys
This bus service will be included as part of an enhanced Travel Smart Journeys (TSJ) programme which incentivises commuters to switch from the North East Line to buses during the morning peak hours. Eligible commuters who make the switch can earn cashback in the form of e-transport vouchers. More details will be announced by LTA at a later date.
