SBS Transit Feeder Bus Service 261 will be designated as a “School-Friendly Public Bus Service” under a trial conducted by SBS Transit, in collaboration with Townsville Primary School from 9 May 2024 to 15 November 2024.
Bus ambassadors, some of whom are parent volunteers at Townsville Primary School, accompany students onboard 3 trips of Service 261 in the morning from Ang Mo Kio Int to the bus stop Opp Townsville Pr Sch along Ang Mo Kio Ave 10. They then cross the road with the students after alighting from the bus to reach the school gate of Townsville Primary School.
Ambassadors also accompany students on their return journey after school.

3 Scania K230UB (Euro V) buses were wrapped with exterior advertisements promoting the school-friendly public bus service. These are:
